The Drive-In at Sawyer Yard, 2301 Summer Street, Houston

The entrance to The Drive-In is on Summer Street, located off of I-10 freeway and Sawyer Street exit. The lot is located behind Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co. with the movie projected onto an almost 100-foot "screen" along the side of the silos at Sawyer Yards. Before You Go, Do This

One of the best parts of going to the drive-in is being able to bring your snacks and customize how your family will experience the movie. Don’t forget any of these essentials:

• Portable radio. Tuning in to the movie which your portable radio will preserve your car’s battery. This also gives you some flexibility if you’d like to sit outside your vehicle.
• Snacks. While some pop-up drive-in are serving limited concessions, they may not have each of your favorites.
• Dress the younger kids in their pajamas. Should the wee ones fall asleep midway through the movie or on the way home, you’re all set to tuck them into their beds when you get home.
• Blankets, pillows, lawn chairs, or a sleeping bag. Plan to make yourself comfy especially if you’ll be sitting on a blanket outside the car or watching from a truck bed.  
• Flashlights. Light the way to the restroom so they are no stumbles or mis-steps into a puddle.
• Bug spray. If the weather’s nice enough to spread a blanket on the ground to watch the movie having bug spray will keep the pests away.
• Window wash and paper towels. Viewing the movie through a dirty or bug stained windshield just won’t do.
• Trashbag. Some locations will have trash receptacles so you can bag your trash before you leave.
